the problem
Carriers get vetted. Drivers don't.
Carrier vetting happens when a load is tendered. Theft happens when it's picked up. Organized fraud rings now exploit the gap between the two — impersonating drivers, hijacking dispatch, and showing up for loads assigned to legitimate carriers.

Vetted ≠ verified
Fraud rings are shifting to loads tendered to legitimate carriers, getting around vetting done at tender
A name and a phone call
Many facilities still release freight on a BOL and a call to dispatch, and neither proves who is standing at the dock

How a CargoID pickup works
Load assigned
The shipper or broker creates the shipment, and the carrier assigns a specific driver.
Driver verified
The driver completes an identity check (government ID plus a live selfie) through a trusted verification provider, on a phone bound to their account.
Pickup code issued on site
When the driver arrives at the facility, the app generates a digitally signed pickup code. It works only for that load, at that location, and only once.
Scan and release
The dock team scans the code, and CargoID confirms the driver, the load, and the authorization. Every scan, approved or rejected, is recorded.
Built for everyone in the handoff
What CargoID verifies at every pickup

Driver identity
A one-time ID and selfie check, linked to a persistent driver profile
Load-specific authorization
Each pickup code is tied to one driver and one shipment
Location-gated, single-use codes:
Codes are issued only on site, expire, and are rejected if reused
Custody record
Every verification attempt is timestamped and digitally signed
Built by operators, not just technologists.
CargoID Secure was founded by a warehouse operations leader who saw a fraudulent pickup firsthand — and built the verification step that should have stopped it.
What was missing that day wasn't just a check. It was a shared record. Today, every company in the chain keeps its own paperwork and its own version of events. CargoID gives the shipper, broker, carrierand warehouse one clear handshake at every handoff: who released the freight, to whom, and onwhose authorization, inside one secure platform.
Join the CargoID Pilot Program
We're working with a small group of shippers and warehouses to run CargoID on live pickups. Pilot partners get:
-
Setup and training for your dock team
-
Onboarding support for carriers and drivers
-
A pilot results report covering verification times, rejected attempts, and custody records
